Step-by-Step Guide

Now that you have completed and familiarized yourself with all of the Actions for Success, you’re ready to begin! This may seem like a lot at first glance, but trust me, once you start practically using this on a regular basis, it will become second nature to you and you’ll be amazed at the savings. Remember to complete each step in order, and don’t forget to follow me on Facebook if you’d like to learn more and gain practical first-hand experience.

Download Weekly PC Optimum Offers

  • Open your PC Optimum app or web account and download your weekly offers.
  • You can also save up to 4 weekly offers each week to use the following week.
  • If you don’t download your offers each week, you will lose out on earning points.
STEP 1

Review Weekly Flyers

  • Review weekly flyers, either on Flipp or physical flyers, that are accepted at your local price matching grocery store for any incredible deals you want to make note of.
STEP 2

Create Your Menu for the Week

  • Start by taking inventory of what you already have that can be used to create a meal.
  • Write down your dinner meal for each day of the week you plan on cooking.
  • If time allows, you can take this a step further and create a breakfast and lunch menu as well.
STEP 3

build your grocery list

  • Add what you need that you don’t currently have for your meals.
  • Add all others necessities that you use on a day-to-day that you may need such as seasonings, spices, coffee, etc. As well as household items and hygiene items like dish soap, aluminum foil, garbage bags, body soap, shampoo etc.
STEP 4

Price Match

  • Go through your list and search Flipp or physical flyers to price match each and every item that you can find on sale.
  • Make a note to yourself beside each item on your list of:
    1. Where it’s on sale.
    2. How much it’s on sale for.
    3. Size restrictions.
STEP 5

Create a Separate List of All Price Matched Items

  • On the same page just off to the right, create a separate list of all of your items being price matched organized by store.
  • As you shop, you will either check off the items on this price match list to indicate that you will indeed be price matching it, or you will scratch it off to indicate the grocery store had it for the same or lesser of the price match amount.
  • When you get to the cash, this will make it easier for you to just go down the list of price matched items by store, and will help to make sure you didn`t miss anything along the way.
STEP 6

Organize Your Shopping Cart

  • Keep your regular priced items to one side of the shopping cart and items that you will be price matching off to the other side. This allows you to quickly find all of your price match items to load onto the conveyor without rummaging through everything. And I personally like to get those items scanned first, then regular priced items after.
